My name is Sarah, I've been a member of this community for a while, and I'm also a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM. I train people in the gym and at their homes, but I'm now trying to start a new business venture.. Online training. I will be starting up my own website in a few months which will be geared towards creating very individualized plans in both nutrition and workouts to reach whatever goal you may have. I will have many options for plans and prices, however I'd like to get a few people started early (at EXTREEMLY discounted rates) so by the time my website is up I can have a section of "testimonies" and "successes". I dont want to get into any details right now (only because I don't want to clog up people's Friends pages) but if anyone is interested in my services PLEASE reply and I will contact you! I will charge only $10 per plan per month for the clients (through paypal), when regularly I will be charging $50 and up depending on plans. Each plan will be very detailed. Have any of you tired Hoodia?

I...being one who seems to try every weight loss product on the market decided to try a Green Tea, Hoodia combination pill. But, after reading the website below I see that I most likely have been taking a "fake" product for the past few days.


How that product has effected me:

I purchased the capsules after reading the back of the Hawaiian looking box. It explained that something in the pill contains naturally occurring caffeine (green tea, I suspect), so I figured it would be no worse than my morning cup of coffee. I have to be careful to not take any product with Chromium in it, as that effects my "go off the deep end for no reason sensor". There is no chromium in that product.

Anyhoo, I have taken one capsule each morning with breakfast since Monday. I don't take any more than one capsule as I have trouble sleeping if I consume too much caffeine.

Symptoms & Side effects:

  1. A feeling of bloating, gas and slight nausea for a few minutes after taking, but it passes quickly.

  2. I feel as if I have consumed several cups of coffee without the acid side effect.

  3. I have more nervous energy.

  4. The appetite suppressant aspect was not obvious until yesterday. (I always eat very healthy at meal time but eat more than necessary at night).

  5. It has become easier to quell the urge to eat Jelly Bellies and Chocolate and I continue to resist purchasing more.

  6. I have lost 2.5 pounds this week but will most likely look for REAL Hoodia this weekend and try that. I do not like the nausea in the morning.

Morale of this story.....skip Green tea Hoodia combination capsules. I will let you know how the real stuff works....if it does, next week.

Hi there,

I am new to this community, and I don't know if this is allowed or not (if so, please feel free to delete this, mod!), but I thought I'd share since I've had weight problems in the past and had success with this workout product (yes, I'm selling it!).


I used to weight 140+ (not a whole lot, but still overweight for my height), and now i'm back to around 127! success!!

__inspiration @ 09:55 pm: Slimming down
I'm a girl with really bulky calves and bigger shoulders than i would like because of muscle. Is there anyway to slim it down other than just losing the muscle? I really would like nice legs, but it's impossible with my calves. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

So for the past couple of weeks I have been trying to eat consciously more healthily, for the past week I have been noting in my LJ exactly what I have eaten and to be honest I need some ideas...in the main I am eating Tuna Salad with low cal coleslaw every day for lunch...its nice but I'm getting bored...any non meat/cheese alternatives out there?
Whilst I don't appear to have shed a single pound in weight (cries) I do feel pretty healthy and up til yesterday had the clearest skin I've had in ages, but today I have a huge zit on my chin as I am goin out tonight so its the rule right? grrrrr! ;)
How is everyone else doin??

Some strange things come out of not eating bread. Especially when most of the items in the house are bread related.

I rummaged through the kitchen a bit, and there were no tortilla shells in sight. I was going to make a wrap. No luck. So I put the cheese, tomatoes and smoked salmon on rice cakes instead.
It's an interesting taste explosion that I'm not really sure I dig. But the cottage cheese and pineapple is good, as always.

Anyone have any brilliant, and simple, non-bread meal ideas?
